2025 PTKIN/PTKIS National Scientific Competition Showcases Student Innovation in Islamic Science and Technology for a Sustainable Civilization

The 2025 National Scientific Competition for PTKIN/PTKIS concluded with an official winner announcement on Friday, July 25, as part of the FST PTKIN Deans’ Forum held from July 24–26, 2025, at Nemuru Hotel, Ciputat. Centered around the theme “Islamic Science and Technology Innovation for a Sustainable Civilization,” the competition encouraged students to present scientific ideas rooted in Islamic values to address contemporary global challenges.

The competition featured four categories: Scientific Writing, Scientific Poster and Infographic, Hackathon, and the Eco-Habit Campaign. These events invited participants to offer innovative and impactful solutions that bridge modern science with ethical and religious perspectives in support of sustainability.

Three institutions emerged as overall winners based on accumulated achievements, namely: UIN Jakarta (1st Place), UIN Alauddin Makassar (2nd Place), and UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (3rd Place). This competition reflected the shared vision of PTKIN/PTKIS across Indonesia to nurture a new generation of scientists who are intellectually driven, environmentally conscious, and guided by spiritual values.
