Advanced Laboratory Tools Training with Dr. Joko Suwardy at PLT: Enhancing Skills and Collaboration in Geophysics
On August 13, 2024, the PLT laboratory space became a hub for training in the use of the advanced laboratory instrument, the Magnetic Susceptibility Meter. This training was led by Dr. Joko Suwardy, a senior researcher from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), who shared his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of geophysics. The event was attended by Physics Laboratory Technicians (PLP), lecturers, and physics students with a special interest in geophysics. During the training session, Dr. Joko provided detailed explanations about the working principles and applications of the instrument in research, followed by a live demonstration that captivated the participants.
The participants' enthusiasm was evident when they were given the opportunity to interact directly with the Magnetic Susceptibility Meter, conduct measurements, and analyze data. The discussions during the training were highly dynamic, with participants exchanging knowledge and ideas for applying this technology in their research. This activity not only enhanced the technical skills of the participants but also strengthened the collaboration between educational institutions and BRIN. It is hoped that this valuable experience will contribute significantly to the advancement of research and teaching in physics, particularly in geophysical studies.
