Advancing Industrial Education Alignment: FST UIN Jakarta Mining Engineering Holds Curriculum Workshop and Capstone Design Integration

In an effort to enhance educational quality and align academic learning with modern industrial needs, the Mining Engineering Study Program at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, convened a Curriculum Development Workshop for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. The event took place on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 08:00 to 12:00 WIB in the Main Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, FST Building. This strategic forum provided a vital platform for the academic community to evaluate and redesign the curriculum structure, ensuring high relevance, quality, and adaptability. The primary focus centered on designing and refining the Capstone Design (Mine Planning) course, which serves a critical role in equipping students with hands-on capabilities to solve complex, integrated engineering problems.

The in-depth discussion featured keynote expert Dr. Ir. Hidayatullah, S.T., M.T., IPM, who delivered comprehensive insights into reinforcing course structures and aligning Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) with modern mining technologies and sustainability principles. Moderated by Dewi Ayu Kusumaningsih, S.T., M.Sc, the workshop successfully established key milestones: solidifying comprehensive mine planning project frameworks, upgrading instructional quality, and boosting graduate competitiveness. Through this curriculum development initiative, the Mining Engineering Study Program at FST UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta reaffirms its dedication to delivering superior engineering education and cultivating highly competitive, integrity-driven mining engineering graduates.
