On April 2, 2024, at the theatre on the 2nd floor of the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Jakarta, a preparation and simulation consignment for ASIIN national accreditation was held with great enthusiasm. This event is an important moment for all staff, students, and lecturers to ensure that the Life Science Cluster study program at the Faculty of Science and Technology of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta meets the international standards set by ASIIN.
Dr. Dra. Denny Riama Silaban M.Kom., Head of the Quality Assurance Unit of FMIPA Universitas Indonesia, has extensive experience in the international accreditation process. In her narrative, she shared her personal experience on how thorough preparation and in-depth understanding of the process can help an institution achieve recognition and a good reputation in the eyes of the world.
He clearly explained to the lecturers and students about the things to prepare and do during the ASIIN international accreditation assessor team visitation. These include ensuring that all documents related to the study program are available and well documented, maintaining the availability and readiness of facilities that will be assessed, and preparing a team that will be the main resource person during the visitation process.
However, Ms. Denny also emphasized things that should not be done during the visitation, such as providing inaccurate information. In addition, Ms. Denny also presented a complete overview of the series of visitation events, from the interview schedule to visits to various locations that are the focus of the assessment team's assessment. She highlighted the importance of maintaining order and a positive impression during the visit. Not only providing explanations, Ms. Denny also involved students in this preparation by providing exercises and briefings so that they could support the activities. This is an effort to involve the entire academic community in maintaining the quality and reputation of the study program that will be assessed.
Overall, this preparation and simulation event is an important momentum for the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Jakarta and the University of Indonesia as a whole to ensure readiness and success in facing the ASIIN international accreditation process. With joint cooperation and commitment, it is hoped that FST UIN Jakarta can achieve the recognition it deserves and improve the quality of education offered to students in the global realm.
