Bakti Kominfo and UIN Jakarta Hold an Evaluation of Internet Access Programs in 6 3T Regions to Improve the Quality of Internet Services
From November 25 to 30, 2024, Bakti Kominfo, in collaboration with the Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, conducted an evaluation of the internet access program in six 3T (Underdeveloped, Frontier, and Outermost) regions, namely NTB, Aceh, South Sulawesi, North Sumatra, West Kalimantan, and Bandung. This activity involved the entire academic community and students of UIN Jakarta, who carried out direct observations, interviews with local communities, and analyses of the infrastructure and quality of internet services in these areas. The evaluation aimed to assess the extent to which Bakti Kominfo's program has succeeded in improving internet access in 3T regions, while also identifying existing challenges and opportunities.
The collaboration between Bakti Kominfo and UIN Jakarta in this initiative highlights the importance of synergy between government institutions and the academic world in promoting equitable access to technology across Indonesia. The results of this evaluation are expected to provide constructive recommendations to improve and optimize the internet access program, in order to support the development of education, economy, and quality of life in the 3T regions.
