The Biology Student Association (HIMBIO Oryza Sativa) of the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, in collaboration with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), successfully held ECOLOGY 8.0 x BRIN under the theme “Biomedical Innovation for Mitigating Future Pandemic Threats.”

This event served as a platform for students, researchers, and the public to collaborate in advancing biomedical innovation, understanding disease mechanisms, and creating adaptive pandemic mitigation systems. The program included the HIMBIO work report presentation, a scientific seminar, and a creative art performance by students.

The seminar featured distinguished speakers — Prof. Hoirun Nisa, M.Kes., Ph.D. and Dr. Yudhi Nugraha, S.Si., M.Biomed. — who shared insights on the integration of biomedical science, epidemiology, and health technology for sustainable pandemic prevention and mitigation.

Through this event, ECOLOGY 8.0 x BRIN aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthen student research capacity, and inspire the development of biological and biomedical sciences toward a resilient future in facing pandemic challenges.
