The Integrated Laboratory Center of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, officially underwent a Field Accreditation Assessment for SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Testing Laboratories on August 13–14, 2026. Held in the Main Meeting Room, 2nd Floor of FST UIN Jakarta, the opening ceremony was officiated by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., alongside faculty leaders led by Dean Prof. Husni Teja Sukmana, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Deans, and laboratory managers. The external quality audit was conducted by two expert assessors: Dian Asriani, S.Si., M.Si. from the National Standardization Agency of Indonesia (BSN) and Hani Ramadhani from PT Petrolab Services. In his address, Prof. Ali Munhanif emphasized that Islamic university laboratories must broaden their scope beyond traditional sharia parameters like halal verification, actively addressing modern industrial demands, technological advancements, and global quality benchmarks.
Over the two-day evaluation, the assessment team thoroughly examined personnel competencies, testing facilities, analytical methodologies, and the overall quality management system championed by the Head of the Integrated Laboratory Center, Dr. Iwan Aminudin, S.Hut., M.Si., and the educational laboratory staff. This strategic initiative reflects a deep commitment to building an institutional culture of quality that is credible, accountable, and aligned with contemporary needs. Successfully acquiring the SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation is anticipated to solidify public and industrial trust in test results generated by FST UIN Jakarta, while opening broader avenues for collaborative partnerships with government entities, industrial sectors, and research institutions worldwide.
