Faculty of Science and Technology, State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Organizes Eco Enzyme Distribution Activity in Campus Environment.

On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, the Faculty of Science and Technology at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta organized an eco-enzyme application event on campus, along with the distribution of eco-enzyme to several partner villages as part of a community service initiative.

The Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Husni Teja Sukmana, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., along with his team, participated in the eco-enzyme activities within the faculty. This event is part of an initiative to realize the green campus concept and contribute to the UI GreenMetric program, as well as the efforts to achieve the 2024 MURI record. This step was taken as a commitment to environmental preservation, with the aim of reducing the negative impact of waste on campus. The distribution of eco-enzyme also involves collaboration with various other universities participating in the UI GreenMetric.

This event and other green campus programs are expected to become a part of the culture at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, integrating the green campus concept into the daily lives of all academic members.

The eco-enzyme distribution program is planned to be conducted regularly every semester across various units, with adjustments to other green campus programs in specific units, such as the green campus team at UIN Jakarta, which is currently led by Prof. Dr. Hendrawati, M.Si. It is hoped that this activity will promote the creation of a more sustainable campus environment that is mindful of environmental preservation.

Through this initiative, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta demonstrates its active role in environmental conservation efforts. Various programs that have been and will be implemented are expected to inspire the academic community and the general public to pay more attention to the environment. This step is in line with global efforts to address climate change and achieve sustainable development goals.
