FST UIN Jakarta and Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park Strengthen Collaboration in Biodiversity Research and Conservation
The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has officially established a partnership with the Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park (TNGGP) in the fields of research, education, and natural resource conservation. This collaboration is being implemented directly within the TNGGP area, marking a concrete step by FST UIN Jakarta in strengthening the role of academics in the preservation of Indonesia's tropical forest ecosystems.
This collaboration includes biodiversity research, conservation technology development, wildlife monitoring, and community empowerment around the national park area. FST is also committed to supporting field education and student internships in conservation areas to improve practical skills in ecology and the environment.
Through this collaboration, FST UIN Jakarta and TNGGP have agreed to strengthen their commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the aspect of terrestrial ecosystem protection. It is hoped that this partnership will make a real contribution to maintaining the balance of nature and supporting national green development policies.
