FST UIN Jakarta Explores Strategic Partnership with PT. Benares Solusi Indonesia and Japan’s NecScat
On July 18, 2025, the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a collaborative meeting with PT. Benares Solusi Indonesia. The session was also attended by representatives from NecScat Japan: Moriura Takayuki, Elpe Sosiawan Tholkhah, and Septi Rahmawati. From PT. Benares, Ahmad Dawamul Muthi participated, while UIN Jakarta was represented by the Head of Career Center, M. Kholis Hamdy, S.Sos.I., M.Int.Dev.
The discussion revolved around a potential internship collaboration for students. Key points included the provision of a seminar or public lecture prior to internship selection, and an internship quota of 2–5 students with initial focus on UI/UX roles. The internship will be conducted remotely in a freelance format, lasting for two years, with a maximum workload of 40 hours per week and compensation of 300 yen per hour.
What makes this opportunity unique is the company’s emphasis on long-term commitment. They are not necessarily seeking the most skilled applicants, but rather those willing to transition into full-time employment in Japan after completing the internship. Full-time salaries post-internship are estimated at around IDR 17–18 million per month (after tax). Additional collaboration in other fields is also on the table and will be explored in future discussions.
