The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, held its Faculty Meeting for the Odd Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the 2nd Floor Theater of FST. Carrying the theme “Strengthening Independence, Fostering Innovation, and Enhancing Research Productivity”, the meeting served as an essential platform for lecturers to share ideas and align strategies ahead of the upcoming semester in September. The faculty leadership emphasized full coordination to ensure the best academic experience for students in the new academic year.

A special session featured Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Nurul Taufiqu Rochman, Founder of Nanotech Indonesia Group and senior researcher at BRIN, who delivered a lecture on Strategies for Downstreaming Research and Innovation. He underscored the urgency of moving beyond research publications toward patents, technology transfer, and commercialization through collaboration with industries and the creation of technology-based start-ups. By sharing best practices on bringing research “from lab to market,” Prof. Nurul encouraged FST lecturers to embrace technopreneurship, strengthen partnerships, and drive research outcomes that create tangible benefits for society and contribute to national development.
