FST UIN Jakarta Holds Follow-Up Meeting on SDGs and MBKM Collaboration with Mount Gede Pangrango National Park
The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a follow-up meeting to strengthen its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program in collaboration with Mount Gede Pangrango National Park (TNGGP). The meeting took place on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the FST Main Conference Room, bringing together FST leaders, representatives from the SDGs Center, and the TNGGP management team.
The discussion highlighted multiple areas of collaboration, including biodiversity research, ecosystem restoration, wildlife monitoring, and community empowerment within the surrounding villages. Ir. Arif, Head of the TNGGP Management Office, emphasized opportunities to access BPDLH funding and align with the FOLU Net Sink 2030 initiative, while the SDGs Center underscored the need to channel research outcomes toward patents, publications, and innovations with real community impact. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to integrate academic contributions into conservation efforts, strengthen inter-disciplinary involvement across FST programs, and ensure long-term sustainability in managing natural resources.
