FST UIN Jakarta Student Wins 3rd Place at National Hackathon CODEFEST ICP Indonesia 2025 with eSigna: A Web3-Based Anti-Fraud Digital Signature Solution
A proud achievement was made by the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Alden Lee, a 2023 Informatics Engineering student, won 3rd Place at the National Hackathon 12 CODEFEST ICP Indonesia 2025, a prestigious competition focusing on Web3 innovation.
In this competition, Alden introduced eSigna: A Digital Signature Anti-Fraud Solution, a cutting-edge innovation built on ICP Native Web 3.0 technology. The platform aims to enhance document security and authenticity through decentralized verification and cryptographic protection.
By leveraging Blockchain-Based Verification, every digital signature in eSigna is immutable, uniquely identifiable, and verifiable across the network — effectively preventing forgery or manipulation. The system also utilizes advanced cryptographic algorithms to ensure each signature’s integrity and authenticity.
Furthermore, eSigna integrates Decentralized Identity (DID) Management, allowing users full control over their digital identities without relying on centralized authorities. This self-sovereign approach minimizes identity theft risks and supports secure online verification within the Web3 ecosystem.
Alden’s achievement reflects the excellence and innovation spirit of UIN Jakarta’s students in developing real-world digital solutions for the future of secure and trustworthy technology.
