The Mining Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, organized a Workshop on Underground Mine Safety Technology from September 1–3, 2025. This three-day program was a collaboration with the Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC) and PPSDM Geominerba, attended by 5th and 7th semester students as well as faculty members of the Mining Engineering program.

The workshop featured presentations from experts Shimoda and Takeuchi Ichiro of JOGMEC Cq Kushiro Mine, along with Herlinawati, S.T., M.T. from PPSDM Geominerba. Discussions highlighted key aspects of underground mining safety technology, including international standards, field practices, and risk management. The event provided participants with valuable insights and practical knowledge, strengthening their academic foundation while preparing them for future roles in the mining industry.
