Mining Engineering Students from Various Universities Showcase Their Skills at the Second National Mining Student Competition (NMSC) Mining Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Jakarta
The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, through its Mining Engineering Study Program and Student Association, successfully held the National Mining Student Competition (NMSC) II on October 21–22, 2025, at the 2nd Floor Theater Hall of FST.
The competition aimed to enhance students’ ability to design and prepare mining plans while addressing the growing industry demand for mining graduates who can tackle real-world case studies effectively.
Five universities advanced to the final round after a rigorous selection process: Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP), Politeknik Negeri Malang, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB).
The finalists were evaluated by a panel of judges consisting of Ir. Hedi Hasriawa, M.M., Yuga Maulana, S.T., M.T., and Umar Rivaldy Pulukadang. The winners were announced as follows:
🏆 1st Place: Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB)
🥈 2nd Place: Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP)
🥉 3rd Place: UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta
The NMSC II served as a platform for aspiring mining engineers to demonstrate their technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities in advancing the future of Indonesia’s mining industry.
