Strengthening Program Accreditation and Quality: FST UIN Jakarta Holds OBE Evaluation Workshop with PIKOBE APTIKOM
The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta conducted a Curriculum Evaluation Workshop on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) featuring Prof. Prihandoko, MIT, Ph.D, Chairman of the OBE Maturity Index Center (PIKOBE) APTIKOM, on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
The workshop aimed to enhance the understanding of lecturers and program managers regarding the OBE implementation framework and the assessment mechanism of the OBE Maturity Index (IKOBE), which plays a crucial role in supporting curriculum quality improvement and accreditation at both national and international levels.
In his presentation, Prof. Prihandoko emphasized the importance of OBE as an educational approach centered on measurable learning outcomes, particularly the competencies students must attain upon graduation. He highlighted that OBE focuses on what graduates can do, aligning with global standards such as the Seoul Accord for computing and IT-related programs.
The workshop also covered key OBE components, including the formulation of Graduate Profiles, Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), mapping between PLOs–Subject Matter–Courses, assessment strategies, and the cycle of Continuous Quality Improvement. Participants were also introduced to the PIKOBE evaluation structure based on the PLAN–DO–CHECK–ACT model and guided through the preparation of LEDIK (Self-Evaluation Report for OBE Maturity) as the primary document for IKOBE assessment.
Through this workshop, FST UIN Jakarta aims to strengthen OBE-based curriculum implementation across study programs, align academic quality with national and international standards, and enhance the competitiveness of graduates in the global landscape.
