Studium General of Mining Engineering Study Program with the theme "Indonesian Mineral and Coal Policy"
On April 30, 2024, the Mining Engineering Program at the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Jakarta, held a Studium General event themed "Mineral and Coal Policies in Indonesia." This event served as an important platform for students and lecturers to delve into the latest policies in the mineral and coal sector, which are crucial for Indonesia's economy. The keynote speaker for this event was Dr. Herry Perman, ST., M.Sc., a prominent expert currently serving as Assistant Deputy for Oil and Gas, Mining, and Petrochemicals as well as Deputy Secretary at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.
In his presentation, Dr. Herry Perman provided in-depth insights into various government policies related to the management of minerals and coal. He explained the strategic steps taken by the government to enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness of this sector amidst global challenges. By presenting comprehensive data and analysis, Dr. Herry also outlined the impact of these policies on the mining industry and the national economy.
Students and lecturers showed high enthusiasm through an interactive Q&A session.
