The Chemistry Study Program of UIN Jakarta successfully organized the community service program “Chemistry in Village” from August 4–9, 2025, in Tajur Halang Village, Bogor. Carrying the theme “Chemistry in Your Area: Real Action for the Community”, the program showcased how chemistry can be applied to empower local communities. Activities included seminars on processing banana peel waste and inorganic waste into ecobricks, teaching and Qur’an classes for children, Chemistry for Kids sessions, school restroom renovations, provision of additional facilities for a local institution, free medical check-ups, grocery donations, and Fun with Chemistry activities.

The event was carried out by 2023 Chemistry students together with lecturers, supported by the residents of Tajur Halang Village. This initiative not only strengthened the relationship between the university and the community but also provided a platform for students to enhance their skills, creativity, and social awareness by applying chemical knowledge directly in the field.
