Worskhop Technology-based Learning Methods Biology Study Program
On November 20-21, 2023, the Biology Study Program held a Technology-Based Learning Methods Workshop. This event aims to provide in-depth understanding to lecturers in Biology about integrating technology into the learning process. The main speaker at this workshop was Dr. Subekti Nurmawati, M.Si., who delivered material on Technology-Based Learning Methods.
In the first session, Dr. Subekti Nurmawati comprehensively discussed the concepts and benefits of technology-based learning methods. She shared insights on how technology can be an effective tool in improving student engagement and understanding. In addition, the material was delivered with a transparent approach and provided practical understanding for the participants.
The second resource person, Sri Utami, S.St., M.Kes., also contributed by delivering material on E-Learning Module Creation. Sri Utami guided practical steps in designing and creating effective e-learning modules. Her emphasis on design, interactivity, and ease of access made the material relevant to developing current educational trends.
The second day of the workshop was filled with e-learning modules and discussion sessions involving lecturers. Each participant was invited to directly apply the concepts learned on the first day. This created an interactive learning atmosphere and allowed lecturers to share experiences and ideas.
Inter-lecturer discussions became one of the highlights of this event, where they could exchange information and strategies regarding the implementation of technology-based learning methods in the Biology curriculum. The opportunity to ask the speakers directly also made this workshop a beneficial forum for the professional development of the lecturers.
With a combination of material from Dr. Subekti Nurmawati and Sri Utami, as well as hands-on practice and active discussion, the Workshop on Technology-Based Learning Methods in Biology Study Program successfully provided new insights and practical skills to the lecturers, opening the door for more practical application of technology in the learning process in the future.
