The Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Jakarta has officially initiated a research collaboration with PT. Cloudtronics Indonesia Jaya on AI Vending Machine development on February 12, 2025. This collaboration aims to introduce innovations in AI-based automated retail systems, expected to enhance efficiency and user experience in cashierless transactions. By bridging academia and industry, this project serves as a strategic step in supporting Indonesia’s smart retail ecosystem.

Robert James Nathan, the President Director of PT. Cloudtronics Indonesia Jaya, stated that this partnership would unlock new opportunities for AI technology advancement in the vending machine industry. With support from the research team at the Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Jakarta, this study is expected to produce innovative solutions that can be widely implemented. This agreement also reflects both parties' commitment to strengthening collaboration between academia and industry to bring forth more advanced and beneficial technologies for society.
