RIP FST is a research management policy direction at the faculty level for the next 5 years whose preparation is guided by the 2018–2026 National Research Master Plan, the Research Master Plan of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and the FST Vision of UIN Jakarta.

This Community Service Master Plan (RIPM) is intended as a reference in developing community service activities carried out by lecturers, students and staff within the FST UIN Jakarta environment. RIPM is also used as part of an important instrument to realize the tridharma of higher education to support the achievement of the vision, mission and strategic plan of the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Jakarta. It is also hoped that the existence of RIPM will further clarify the synergy between Community Service activities and other areas of higher education's tridharma, namely education and research. Apart from that, it is hoped that the RIPM will further strengthen and expand the FST network with various Collaboration partners at the local, national and international levels.

As an educational institution, the Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has the task of implementing the tri dharma of higher education including aspects of education and teaching, research and community service. In the aspect of implementing education and teaching, FST has been able to carry it out well because FST has qualified human resources (lecturers and educational staff) and very supportive facilities. The study programs at FST are integrated into each of them so that curriculum coordination and implementation can run well. In the research aspect, FST still needs to improve many things to achieve its research vision and mission. The mission of conducting superior research for the development of scientific integration of science and Islam must be realized. Of course, this mission is carried out within the framework of realizing the ideals of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta to become a World Class University and supporting the 2021-2023 National Research Master Plan.
