ALII UIN Jakarta Holds Socialization on AI Ethics Policy at FST UIN Jakarta
The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, together with the Artificial Intelligence Literacy and Innovation Institute (ALII), successfully held a Socialization of Guidelines and Policies on the Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Thursday, July 31, 2025. This event was held online via the Zoom Meetings platform and was attended by lecturers, students, and educational staff. This socialization aimed to provide an in-depth understanding of the ethical, responsible, and harmonious use of AI in line with Islamic academic values.
Khodijah Hulliyah, Ph.D., Director of ALII UIN Jakarta, explained the main principles of AI ethics policy, namely transparency, accountability, fairness, privacy, and sustainability. She emphasized that AI should be a tool to support learning, research, and academic services, not a substitute for creativity or scientific integrity. Through this activity, UIN Jakarta demonstrated its commitment to leading the AI literacy movement in higher education, while encouraging the creation of an academic ecosystem that is adaptive to technology but still based on ethics and social responsibility.
