Chemistry Study Program at UIN Jakarta Holds Research Class to Support Timely Graduation and Strengthen Student Research Planning

In an effort to support the smooth progression of sixth-semester students’ research projects, the Chemistry Study Program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta organized a special Research Class. This activity aimed to identify the challenges students face in their research journey while simultaneously providing strategic guidance to help them graduate on time.

The session began with opening remarks from the Class President of the 2022 cohort, Aditya Muhammad Fakhri, followed by a comprehensive presentation delivered by the Head of the Chemistry Study Program, Dr. Yusraini Dian Inayati Siregar, M.Si.

Throughout the event, students were introduced to a variety of potential research topics. These ranged from independently developed ideas to those aligned with the expertise of internal faculty members, as well as opportunities provided by external institutions such as BATAN, LIPI, and BRIN. The session also clarified essential academic requirements for both proposal and final seminars, as well as the procedures for graduation and convocation registration. Students were encouraged to follow an ideal research timeline to ensure efficient and effective progress.

In addition, the class provided a detailed overview of the seminar process—from administrative preparation to presentation day logistics—with an emphasis on delivering presentations in English as a component of final assessment.

The event was marked by active student participation, with many attendees engaging in discussions and asking questions related to their individual research plans. It is hoped that this initiative will offer students a clearer academic path forward and enhance their readiness for the final phase of their undergraduate journey.
