Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Walisongo Semarang successfully hosted the National Forum of Deans of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) from State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) across Indonesia, held from July 16 to 19, 2026, at Novotel Semarang. The leadership delegation from FST UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta actively participated in this strategic national gathering centered around the theme "Artificial Intelligence, SDGs, and Eco-theology: Science and Technology Education Transformation for a Sustainable Future" alongside FST representatives nationwide. The official opening ceremony took place on Thursday evening (16/7), featuring remarks from the Dean of FST UIN Walisongo Prof. Dr. H. Fatah Syukur, M.Ag., Chairman of the FST PTKIN Deans Forum Dr. Muhammad Isnaini, M.Pd., and the Rector of UIN Walisongo, followed by a Keynote Speech delivered by the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Nasaruddin Umar, MA.

Over the four-day program, the FST UIN Jakarta delegation joined participants in engaging with a series of strategic sessions aimed at optimizing institutional management and science-technology advancement across PTKIN campuses. Insightful lectures were delivered by prominent speakers, including the Director General of Islamic Education, Prof. Dr. H. Suyitno, M.Ag., who addressed the Revitalization Policy of FST PTKIN, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nur, DEA, who presented on the Downstreaming of Sustainable Research Development. Beyond active involvement in cross-disciplinary Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), FST UIN Jakarta's participation encompassed formulating follow-up action plan recommendations, attending industrial sharing sessions, and joining the educational visit to the UIN Walisongo Planetarium.
