The “AI-Based Digital Marketing and Personal Branding Training for BAKTI Infrastructure Beneficiary Islamic Boarding Schools” is a self-managed collaborative program between BAKTI Komdigi and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, aimed at bridging the availability of ICT infrastructure with the enhancement of human resource capacity within Islamic boarding schools. The training was conducted from Monday to Friday, 17–21 November 2025.
The program began with data collection from 277 Islamic boarding schools registered under BAKTI across four provinces: Banten, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Central Java, and East Java. From this number, 113 schools successfully delegated participants to take part in the training.
The official event opened on November 17, 2025, with a series of speeches, beginning with a report from the Chief Executive, Khodijah Hulliyah, Ph.D., followed by remarks from the Managing Director of BAKTI Komdigi, Fadhillah Mathar, a representative from the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs' Directorate of Islamic Boarding Schools, Dr. H. Basnang Said, M.Ag., and remarks from the Dean of FST UIN Jakarta, Prof. Husni Teja Sukmana, M.Sc., Ph.D. After the opening, the training continued with the presentation of the first day's material.
Throughout the program, participants received structured materials covering Introduction to Digital Marketing and Branding, AI-Based Content Strategy and Marketing Workflow, Digital Campaign Planning and Analytics, Landing Page Development and Performance Measurement, as well as Portfolio Development and BNSP Certification Preparation.
The training demonstrated a measurable positive impact. The average post-test score increased from 83.49 (Good) to 89.6 (Very Good), reflecting improved conceptual understanding and practical application skills. Out of 183 active participants, 100 top performers were selected to undergo BNSP certification, resulting in 60 participants declared Competent and 40 Not Yet Competent, mainly due to administrative and technical constraints.
Overall, the program significantly enhanced pesantren participants’ capabilities in managing digital media for outreach and promotion, strengthening personal branding as the digital face of their institutions, and utilizing AI for content creation and digital campaign planning. With continued support from BAKTI, this initiative has strong potential to become a sustainable and inclusive model for advancing digital literacy and AI utilization in religious education institutions.
