FST UIN Jakarta Explores Academic Collaboration with National Taiwan Normal University on Digital Learning Innovation
The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held an Initiation Meeting for International Collaboration with National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) on Tuesday, October 15, 2025, at the Main Conference Room of FST UIN Jakarta. The meeting was attended by faculty leaders and Prof. Jon-Chao Hong, Professor and Director of the Digital Game Based Learning Lab, from the College of Technology and Engineering, NTNU.
During the discussion, Prof. Jon-Chao Hong introduced his current research project, “Educational Game Development,” which focuses on developing digital game-based learning tools. He highlighted potential collaboration with FST’s PINTEK (Innovation and Technology Center), which currently provides learning services in Robotics based on Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Prof. Hong also shared insights on patent registration and protection systems in Taiwan, offering valuable knowledge for FST’s researchers to advance their innovations globally. This meeting marks an initial step toward a broader partnership between UIN Jakarta and NTNU in research, technology development, and academic exchange to foster global scientific collaboration.
