JAKARTA – The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta continues to innovate in enhancing the quality of supporting facilities for its academic community. On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, FST UIN Jakarta officially launched its newest facility, the Innovation Lounge, located on the 4th floor of the FST Building. This modern interactive space was established with the full collaboration and support of three strategic partners: D'TwinZ House, the International Institute for Advanced Science and Technology (IIAST), and Scitech Academy Indonesia. The existence of this new space is designed to meet the needs of students and lecturers to collaborate, innovate, and spark creative ideas in the digital era.

The cutting-edge facility was inaugurated directly by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D. In his inaugural address, Prof. Ali Munhanif emphasized the vital role of infrastructure adaptation in supporting the university's vision toward global recognition. He stated that the internationalization process of a higher education institution must not be viewed solely from academic curricula, but must also be balanced by providing adequate supporting facilities. According to him, providing contemporary, comfortable, and time-appropriate interaction spaces like the Innovation Lounge is a crucial step to boost students' productivity and global competitiveness.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the deans of FST, representatives from the supporting partner institutions, and student organization leaders. Through this Innovation Lounge, FST UIN Jakarta is highly committed to fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning ecosystem. This space is expected to serve not just as a casual gathering spot, but as an idea incubation hub, a venue for cross-disciplinary scientific discussions, and a space for joint research development with international partners. This synergy reinforces FST UIN Jakarta's concrete steps in blending academic excellence with modern, standard-setting facilities.
