Physics Study Program Holds Studium General on Geosciences and Further Studies in Utrecht, Netherlands

On Monday, May 27, 2024, the Physics Study Program of the Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a Studium General event themed "Geosciences and Further Studies in Utrecht, the Netherlands." This event took place in the Main Conference Room and featured Rhea Melwani, M.Sc., as the keynote speaker. Rhea Melwani, representing the International Office of Utrecht University in the Netherlands, has extensive experience in assisting international students to secure study opportunities at this prestigious university.

In her presentation, Rhea Melwani provided comprehensive information about the study programs at Utrecht University related to geosciences. She elaborated on the various outstanding facilities, innovative curricula, and research opportunities available at the university. Rhea also outlined the application steps, required qualifications, and the various types of scholarships accessible to prospective international students. Additionally, she shared her personal experiences of living and studying in the Netherlands, offering a realistic perspective on academic and social life in Utrecht.

The event participants, consisting of students and lecturers, showed high enthusiasm during the Q&A session. They actively asked questions about the application process, necessary preparations, and career opportunities after completing studies at Utrecht University. This interactive discussion aimed to inspire and motivate students of the Physics Study Program at the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, to pursue further education abroad, particularly in the field of geosciences, and to prepare themselves well to face future challenges and opportunities.
