On August 1, 2024, the Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Jakarta held a coordination meeting to discuss the development of the LAB towards ISO 17025 accreditation. ISO 17025 provides a strong foundation for all laboratory operations, ensuring that the laboratory can function optimally and contribute significantly to the fields of science and technology. The benefits of an ISO 17025 accredited LAB for the faculty are substantial.

This accreditation enhances the quality of research through international standards, provides global recognition that opens opportunities for international cooperation, and increases public and industry trust in the laboratory's research results. Additionally, operational efficiency is improved due to more structured and well-documented procedures. More importantly, this accreditation enables the laboratory to produce innovations that benefit society, aligning with the university's mission to contribute to the sustainable development of science and technology.
