On Friday, February 16, 2024, the atmosphere in the Main Conference Room was filled with the presence of lecturers and academic staff who attended an important event: Socialization of the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation (Permendikbud) Number 53 of 2023 and discussion of lecturer promotion. This event was a major highlight in the academic environment, as it was a rare opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the new regulations that will impact lecturers' careers. The event was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A.

The main speaker of the event was Dr. M. Samsuri, S.Pd., M.T., IPU, who is the Head of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region IV, which covers West Java and Banten. Dr. Samsuri began his presentation, by outlining in detail the contents of Permendikbud Number 53 of 2023, which regulates the qualification standards and assignments of lecturers in higher education. He clearly explained the significant changes in the regulation, as well as its implications for lecturers and higher education institutions as a whole.

In addition, Dr. Samsuri also provided information on the process of lecturer promotion by the new regulation. He invited lecturers to understand the criteria and requirements that must be met to achieve the desired promotion. The event was fully interactive, with the participants actively asking questions and discussing various matters related to regulations and lecturer promotion.

The socialization of Permen No. 53 of 2023 and the discussion of lecturer promotion delivered by Dr. M.
