The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the highest standards of off-campus learning. This was demonstrated through a direct working visit by the Dean of FST and the Vice Dean II for General Administration to monitor the Batch 2 Fieldwork activities of Mining Engineering students. This intensive oversight program took place over two days, from Monday to Tuesday, April 27 - 28, 2026, at the operational site of PT Generasi Muda Bersatu (GMB), West Java.

This strategic visit aimed to closely observe the academic and technical progress of students gaining practical experience in the industry. In addition to touring the mining site, the FST UIN Jakarta leadership held interactive discussions with the management of PT Generasi Muda Bersatu and the participating students. This initiative was undertaken to evaluate the alignment between the theoretical curriculum taught on campus and the actual implementation and occupational health and safety (OHS) standards practiced in the mining industry.

The Dean of FST UIN Jakarta emphasized that this monitoring activity is crucial for maintaining the quality of mining engineering graduates, ensuring they are highly competitive and industry-ready. Furthermore, the faculty expressed deep appreciation to PT Generasi Muda Bersatu for the partnership and excellent facilities provided to FST students. This strong synergy between the academic world and the industrial sector is expected to continue fostering competent, adaptive young engineers who can bring positive innovation to the national mining industry.
