Motivated by the desire to understand the integration of Islamic Studies and the teaching and learning environment at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, 10 students from 10 different universities visited the IT Department of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta on Thursday, June 20. These universities included institutions from North Sumatra, Mulawarman, Hassanudin, STIA Amuntai, Pattimura, Sriwijaya, Padjajaran, Jenderal Soedirman, Brawijaya, and Udayana. The student delegation was received by Nurul Faizah, representing the IT Department, and HIMTI members led by Gibral, the HIMTI chairman.

The meeting featured a warm discussion on various aspects of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, including its diverse faculties, curriculum, and Islamic environment supporting the learning process. “This visit allows us to introduce UIN Syarif Hidayatullah as an inclusive campus with Islamic and Indonesian values,” said Gibral. He also explained how IT students learn technology integrated with Islamic values and culture. Meanwhile, the delegation leader, Ahmad Syafi’ul Umam, noted that they gained a new perspective on UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. “The stigma of UIN being a liberal campus is no longer relevant. On the contrary, this campus has implemented religious moderation and commendable tolerance,” said Umam. (NF).
