A collaborative effort between Jurnal Kimia Valensi and the Indonesian Chemical Society (HKI) Jakarta Chapter culminated in an inspiring scientific forum titled "Testimony, Book Review, and Seminar on Eco-Enzyme: Practical Implementation and Scientific Insights," held on July 15, 2025, in Ciputat. The event featured two prominent speakers, Prof. Dr. La Ode Sumarlin, M.Si (author of the Eco-Enzyme book) and Prof. Dr. Hendrawati, M.Si (book reviewer), moderated by Nurmaya Arofah, M.Eng, a mining engineering lecturer and co-author of the book. Officially opened by Dr. Afrizal, M.Si, Head of HKI Jakarta Chapter, the seminar explored the multifaceted benefits and scientific significance of Eco-enzyme as a cross-disciplinary environmental innovation.

The book Eco-Enzyme not only explains the fermentation process of organic waste into a multipurpose liquid but also presents scientific studies across Chapters 7 to 9, emphasizing its real-world applications in agriculture, waste management, and environmental health. Prof. Dr. Hendrawati appreciated the book’s contribution to science-based green initiatives and shared constructive feedback, such as the need for clearer illustrations, deeper discussion on gas formation during fermentation, and data on the composition of harvested Eco-enzyme. As a practical and accessible guide, the book serves as a vital reference for researchers, academics, practitioners, and communities committed to advancing sustainable living through scientific literacy.
