The Chemistry Study Program of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, held a Studium Generale themed “Understanding Production Processes and Halal Critical Points in Food, Beverages, Restaurants, Pharmaceuticals, and Cosmetics” on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Theater Room, 2nd Floor of FST.

The session featured Dr. Ir. Mulyorini Rahayuningsih, M.Si., lecturer at the Department of Industrial Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, IPB University, who also serves as a Halal Auditor and Certification Advisor at LPPOM. She delivered an insightful presentation on identifying critical points in production processes and ensuring halal integrity in modern industries.

The event was moderated by Dr. Sandra Hermanto, M.Si., lecturer of the Chemistry Study Program, and officially opened by Prof. Dr. La Ode Sumarlin, M.Si., Vice Dean I of FST.

Attended by around 250 participants, including lecturers and students, the seminar provided a comprehensive understanding of halal assurance across various product sectors. The event also strengthened academic awareness of halal science and its vital role in ensuring ethical and safe production within the chemical and food industries.
