UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta's Bachelor and Master Agribusiness Study Programs Implement ASIIN International Accreditation, Encouraging Quality Improvement and Global Competitiveness
On October 22-23, 2024, the Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta hosted a significant event aimed at enhancing academic quality: the *International Accreditation by ASIIN* for the Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs in Agribusiness. The event aimed to assess and ensure that these study programs meet international quality standards and are ready to continue developing the quality of education in line with global needs.
The accreditation process involved a Peer Group consisting of international experts and representatives from various stakeholders, including Prof. Dr. Jürgen Braun from Nürtingen-Geislingen University (HfWU), Prof. Dr. Alexander Stoy from the University of Applied Sciences Kiel, Almansyah Sinatrya from Universal PT Tempu Rejo (industry representative), Mohammad Nafi Izzuddin from Universitas Islam Malang (student representative), and Johann Jakob Winter from the ASIIN Office. Their presence brought diverse perspectives, covering the academic, industrial, and student viewpoints, ensuring that the evaluation process was comprehensive and objective.
The accreditation activities proceeded smoothly, thanks to the full support of various parties, including industry partners, students, alumni, as well as faculty and university staff. Over the two days, the Peer Group conducted a series of evaluations, from reviewing academic documents, engaging in discussions with faculty and students, to field visits to observe the facilities and educational activities directly. The active participation of the entire academic community demonstrated a strong commitment to continuously improving the quality of education and the global competitiveness of graduates.
With the successful execution of this event, it is hoped that the Agribusiness Study Program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta will receive accreditation from ASIIN, which would be a significant recognition of the educational quality achieved and provide an impetus for ongoing innovation and development in the field of agribusiness.
